Our Jet Provosts XW324, XM479, and BAC 167 Strikemaster G-FLYY form part of Heritage
Aviation for the purposes of air-shows, but they all have different owners, who are
committed to our aims and objectives.
We are a group of pilots, aircraft owners and enthusiasts of ex British military
jets, in particular the Jet Provost and the BAC 167 Strikemaster.
Our group is made up of many individuals who collectively work hard as a team to
maintain our high standards of achievement throughout the year.
Our aircraft take part in the Air Show circuit each year. For more information
about 2010 Air-shows and displays that Jet provost XW324, XM479 and Strikemaster
G-FLYY are displaying at this year click here
Our objectives are to restore, maintain and operate ex British military jets. In
doing so we hope to preserve their historic importance, and records of service.
We aim to give Jet Provost and Strikemaster enthusiasts and the wider public more
access to these types of ex military aircraft by displaying them both in flight
and on static displays at National Air-Shows throughout the year and in doing so
we strive to promote aviation and good airmanship.
As part of our ongoing commitment to give wider access to the public we are currently
stripping and restoring a Jet Provost ejection seat that will be included on our
stand at the shows so that our visitors can get a closer look at and inspect part
of our safety equipment.
For more information on the design of our aircraft and their operational development
take a look at our ‘aircraft page’ which shows how the aircraft progressed from
the Percival Provost, to the Jet Provostand finally to the Strikemaster.
