Jet provost XM479 and Pilot Neil McCarthy have now joined the Heritage Aviation
team and will be great ambassadors in the promotion of our objectives and the participation
in our forthcoming events.
More details about Jet Provost XM479 can be found on ‘Our Aircraft’ page
Jet Provost XW324 - The search for the original ‘Griffin’ tail fin logo has been
located and has now been reproduced and returned to the aircraft. The ‘K’ is soon
to replaced with the original ‘U’ symbol to maintain its authentic 6FTS squadron
livery of RAF Finningley.
The below photo shows XW324 on a wet day at RAF Fairford earlier this year with her
new ‘Griffin’ logo visible on her tail fin.
Welcome to Heritage Aviation

The Kemble Battle of Britain Day during the weekend 20th September. See this reportcourtesy of Global Aviation Resources for more info about the event.
Our objectives are to:
Restore, maintain and operate ex British military jets.
To preserve their historic importance, and records of service
To give a wider access to the public by displaying at National Air-Shows
To promote aviation and good airmanship
Our BAC Jet Provost XW324 , Jet Provost XM479 and our BAC 167 Strikemaster G-FLYY
currently follow the show circuit. In 2008 and 2009 we displayed at Kemble, RAF
Cosford, RAF Waddington and Fairford. As a group of aircraft owners, pilots and enthusiasts
of ex military jets we got together and formed Heritage Aviation.
